July 28,2009

It has been a couple of days and Jared and Dwayne are doing better. Some exciting news about Dwayne is that he has been able to eat pudding! He is walking more. He has a goal chart on his whiteboard in his room and it has six boxs on it, he has to get out of bed and go walking six times a day. He has been doing great! Sunday night his Grandpa was in trouble with Dwayne because he had these balloons in his room and one of them had a hole in it and Grandpa started to suck the helium out and then he would talk and it made Dwayne laugh but then it made his stomach hurt. But Dwayne is full of Smiles. Jared on the other hand is making little progress. He has an infection in his arm that they think is from one of the pick lines and so he has had a fever. But some exciting news, today he is going in for surgery on his leg at one o'clock. He has still been in the ICU but they say maybe by next week he could be released. But we will see. We will write as soon as we hear how his surgery went.

    I am glad that both are making progress no matter how slow it is. We look forward to serving them when they return to Grantsville...we love the whole family and are grateful that we have meet them.

    Thank you so much for keeping us all posted. The blog was an awesome way to let everyone know how the family is doing. I went to Junior High and High school with Jared. I have never met his wife Michelle, but she must be a very strong women. I would have lost it by now. Make sure she takes care of herself as well. Sometimes we as mom's and wife's don't take care of ourselves, because we are so worried about everyone else. I will even take her to lunch one day to get her out of the hospital, so we can meet. :)

    Also...we are having a benefit yard sale this Saturday in your families honor. All proceeds will go to your family. We have advertised everywhere and I am telling you, "ask and ye shall receive." as apparent. My front living room is full, my porch is full, my garage will be full by tonight. People are donating all across the valley. :)

    We love you and pray for you. If you need ANYTHING, please let me know.

    I am so grateful to have The chance to read your blog. I think about your family every day. You are constantly in our prayers. Even our girls keep asking about "your old friends who got in a bad accident." You are an inspiration to all of us.
