Getting Better

Things are getting better at the Perry house. Jared and Dwayne have both been home for a little while. Jared had a doctors appointment on Thursday. He had a hematoma on his hip and when they saw it they decided to admit him back into the hospital to have surgery to clean it out. Jared was not planning on spending another night in the hospital but luckily they let him come home Friday night. Dwayne is doing as well as can be expected. He has been able to go to school all day. Thanks to his little brother he was able to get his feeding tube out a little sooner than planned. We were hoping to have it out before school started this Monday and while I was picking Jared up at the hospital I got a call that Tyler had sat down next to Dwayne a little too hard and had landed on the feeding tube pulling it out about 8 inches. With the NJ tube it bypasses the stomach and so it can not be put back in without a specialists help. Because it had been pulled out so far, was a weekend, and we could not get a hold of his doctor we took it all the way out and he has been able to keep it out since. I wanted to thank my sister who was keeping this blog up to date and hopefully I will be able to keep everyone posted on the rest of the long recovery.
